Hands-on Workshop on “Data Acquisition, Extraction and Transformation using Tableau: A Practical Workshop”

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science), in association with Clustrix – The Technical Club, St. Peter’s Engineering College, organized a two-day hands-on workshop titled “Data Acquisition, Extraction and Transformation using Tableau: A Practical Workshop” on 08th and 09th July 2026 at the S30 Lab. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Patri Jaisimha Aditya, Business Consultant, with the objective of providing students with practical knowledge of data acquisition, extraction, cleaning, and transformation using Tableau. The sessions included connecting multiple data sources, extracting and cleaning datasets, joining and blending data, pivoting, handling missing values and duplicates, and creating calculated fields using Tableau Prep. A total of 62 participants, including 58 students, 3 faculty members, and 1 external participant, attended the workshop. The event enhanced students’ practical skills and confidence in preparing analysis-ready datasets for data science and business analytics applications.
