About the event
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an industrial visit to the 400KV/220/132 kV Mamidipally Substation under TGTRANSCO on 18th July, 2026 for the 3rd and 4th Year B. Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) students. A total of 46 students, accompanied by faculty coordinators, participated in the industrial visit.
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the operation and maintenance of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission systems, substation equipment, power system protection, and modern grid monitoring techniques. The visit was aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical concepts learned in the classroom and their real-time industrial applications.
