The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at St. Peter's Engineering College, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the ISTE Student Chapter, hosted a two-day workshop titled “IoT Essentials: Learn.Build.Innovate” on 20th and 21st August 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at F-38. The aim was to equip students with foundational IoT knowledge, applications, and practical skills using microcontrollers, sensors, and electronic components.
The workshop began with an overview of IoT, covering its evolution, architecture, principles, and real-world applications, illustrating how devices can sense, process, and communicate data over networks.
Participants learned about Arduino and its variants, microcontroller basics, digital and analog I/O, and programming. Sessions included sensor applications, teaching integration with microcontrollers for monitoring and automation.
Emphasizing hands-on learning, students engaged in practical activities with Arduino boards and sensors, gaining experience in circuit connections, programming, sensor interfacing, troubleshooting, and real-time output observation.
